Tristate
Engineeing is designing three new box culverts bridges at
two locations along Joplin Creek and one location on Willow
Branch. Those locations include 4th Street, 5th Street
and Murphy Boulevard, and 5th and Cox Streets. TSE
will also design the new channel lining along Joplin
Creek to provide erosion control. The City of Joplin
will use STP federal bridge 80/20 matching funds and the MoDOT
local public agency (LPA) procedures will be used for this
project. The replacement of the RCB across Murphy Boulevard
will allow for HS-20 loading, making Murphy Boulevard legally
capable of carrying truck route load limits.
