Highway Projects

TSE is working with MoDOT District 8, on design improvements to Route 14 in Christian County between Nixa and Ozark, Missouri.  This rapidly developing commerical/suburban corridor is generating traffic volumes that are beginning to exceed the capacity of the existing two-lane section.  Design improvements include traffic modeling using CORSIM software, roadway widening using urban design criteria (access management, four lane C & G sections, signalized intersecitons) and analysis of the existing Route 65/14 interchange at Ozark to develop capacity improvements.  Total project cost is estimated at $20 million, with an anticipated construction date of 2013.

Tri-State Engineering has prepared for MoDOT District Nine, plans for a new nine mile section of Route 72 in Dent County, from Route FF south of Rolla to Route 32 in Salem. The project includes preliminary plans, right-of-way plans, and detail construction plans. The project also includes a new 300’ four span bridge over Dry Fork Creek. Preliminary Plans include public hearing exhibits and presentations to property owners and other stakeholders concerning the proposed design for the project. Right-of-way plans on this project include takes from 95 tracts. Preparation of new acquisition deeds and staking of the new right-of-way is included in this project.		Final plans will include estimated quantities and construction details for grading, drainage, paving and bridges. The current construction budget for this project is $19.3 million with right-of-way cost estimated at $3 million.
