Collins Bypass - Route 13
St. Clair County, MoDOT District Seven |
|
As a sub consultant, TSE completed the necessary survey work to complete the design of a four-lane, 4.5-mile bypass around Collins, MO. The design includes a new interchange at the center of the bypass and tie-ins to the existing road on both the north and south ends. Crews completed both field and office work, including GPS surveying work to establish control for aerial mapping, traditional surveying for vertical control, topographic surveys for design details, mapping of existing utilities and boundary work to determine right-of-way takings. |

Intersection of 20th Street and Rangline Road
Joplin, MO |
Rangeline Road in Joplin, Missouri, a major commercial route, is prone to severe and deadly traffic accidents (portions are considered a High Hazard Route). MoDOT, District Seven, is working on major improvements to the entire corridor, including the 20th Street intersection. The proposed improvements to the intersection required substantial right-of-way takes including the purchase of a restaurant and a gas station. Tri-State Engineering flagged the proposed right-of-way take on the northwest corner for the Commissioners and Appraisers.
