A boundary line
is a basic element to property ownership and is the motivation for
many different types of surveys. The land surveyor must certify
and stake in the field boundary lines for the sake of individuals,
corporations and municipalities. Land surveys establish property
lines from legal descriptions or recorded subdivision plat information.
Such surveying functions are basic to real estate transactions.
Boundary Surveys are needed:
 |
Prior to
purchasing land to insure that you are buying the land you
want.
Prior to installing a fence, building a house, or other
types of construction improvements.
Prior to subdividing land into smaller parcels.
When selling a tract of land not previously surveyed.
To verify the amount of land assessed for taxes.
When adjacent landowners encroach upon your land with their improvements. |
Costs of Surveys depend
on:
 |
The type of survey required.
Existing terrain and land conditions.
The information supplied by the owner.
The surveyors knowledge of the area.
Record information availability.
Existing monumentation.
Liability incurred by the land surveyor. |
