Commercial and Industrial Design

Silver Creek Galleria
Joplin, MO

TSE worked with local developers to plan and design Silver Creek Galleria, a 100-acre commercial park site just south of the I-44 and Rangeline Road interchange. The park combines restaurants, hotels, box stores, outlet mall stores, etc. The project included planning streets, accesses, utilities, grading and storm water detention. Silver Creek, bisects the park, and the work included rerouting of the existing channel through the development, a triple and double box culvert bridge. The work was coordinated with FEMA and the Army Corps of Engineers and involved study of the Silver Creek watershed upstream from 44th Street to the I-44 and Rangeline interchange.

Petro Truckstop
Joplin, MO

The design staff at TSE worked with Truckstop Distributors, Inc., to plan and complete the site design for the Petro Truckstop, at the I-44 and Rte 86 interchange. The original site included 50 acres, but the facility has nearly doubled in size to date. Currently the truck stop includes a restaurant, gift shop, fueling station, trucker’s lounge, laundromat, motel, a truck maintenance/tire repair facility and a truck wash. Tri-State Engineering completed the site plan, including the highway access, grading and drainage plan, parking lot design and a water tower, while a TSE project engineer completed the water, sewer and natural gas plans as prior work experience. As the facility has expanded, TSE has designed improvements, including new parking lot design, storm water drainage and a major sewer project, taking wastewater to the City of Joplin for treatment.

Joplin Regional Stockyards
Sarcoxie, MO

Tri-State Engineering completed both the site plan and the architecture for the Joplin Regional Stockyards, in Sarcoxie, Missouri. The building has more that 600,000 square feet under roof, a reconfigurable pen layout system and loading docks. TSE also designed the storm water drainage plan for the 140 acres site and the wastewater treatment system.
